Musician Konstantinos Rekleitis, who completed his PhD at Edinburgh, talks about how his time at Edinburgh has given him invaluable experiences as he prepares for this year’s festival. I also found the intentional mix of people extremely valuable both academically and socially. A good memory from 2009 was my first participation in the Fringe Festival when I wrote a part of D. Levin’s show “People”. Tell us about your Experiences since leaving the University At the moment I divide my time between teaching private music lessons and composing for concerts in both Europe and the US. I’m also preparing job applications for academic positions. Edinburgh University opened my mind to a wealth of possibilities and broadened my horizons. The opportunities that I have are the result of my time at the University. I’m taking part in the Fringe Festival this year as a composer for a show at the Jazz Bar called 'Greece Meets West' which is based around the character Medea from Greek mythology.
