On 7 June 2013 ten graduates of the 1953 Law Class with partners met for lunch at The Playfair Library to celebrate the 60th anniversary of their graduation. Image Professor Lesley McAra, Dean of The Law School, joined them for lunch and gave a very interesting talk illustrating how much had changed in the intervening years, both in the content of the degree syllabus and the diversity of the student body. Gone but not forgotten It was also discovered that the picture that currently hangs in a corrider in the Law School features the class of 1953 at graduation. Gone but certainly not forgotten. The reunion went very well and everyone enjoyed meeting up with their class mates of long ago. Elizabeth Picton Reunion organiser Get together Class reunions are more popular than ever. They are a great way of renewing old acquaintances and keeping in touch with friends who may be based all over the world. Each year, over 40 reunion groups get together to reminisce about their time at the University of Edinburgh, and to find out what’s been happening at the University and in each others’ lives since they last met.
