Name James Thomas Degree Course History Year of Graduation 2004 Image Your time at the University I chose to study at the University of Edinburgh for its fantastic academic reputation. I fell in love with the city when I first visited; it felt like the right choice in every aspect. I loved every moment of my time at University, I enjoyed the lectures but it was really the tutorials that made my time at Edinburgh so engaging and entertaining. The availability of the professors and lecturers to engage with the students and take a genuine interest in your studies was really rewarding. Dr Jeremy Crang was great, he gave some extremely exciting and energetic lectures and of course the fabulously eccentric Dr Victor Rothwell lives long in the memory. His tutorials were epic! My favourite memories of Edinburgh are lying out in the Meadows during the summer, The Edinburgh Festivals, the endless nights at Potterrow, the St Andrews Ball, climbing up Arthur’s Seat, enjoying a beer or two at the Pear Tree…I could go on! When I return to Edinburgh I take a stroll up Arthur’s Seat and admire the city, it’s truly the most beautiful city I’ve visited and the views from Arthur’s Seat or Calton Hill confirm this each and every time. Dr Jeremy Crang was great, he gave some extremely exciting and energetic lectures and of course the fabulously eccentric Dr Victor Rothwell lives long in the memory.
