For those based in and around Edinburgh, our Open Studies programme offers a wide variety of day and evening courses for adults throughout the year.

We also offer twenty different languages including English courses for international students and professionals. Alternatively you could unleash your creative side by enrolling on an art and design short course at Edinburgh College of Art.

Online courses

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are short courses that are delivered online for free.

The University is offering 5 courses that start in January and a chance to find out more about particle physics and the Higgs boson in February.

Artificial Intelligence Planning

The course aims to provide a foundation in artificial intelligence techniques for planning, with an overview of the wide spectrum of different problems and approaches, including their underlying theory and their applications.
