The two of us

Edinburgh is truly a special city. It’s where I learnt about medicine and where I met my wife.

'The Two of Us' is an important part of Edit, our alumni magazine. We love to hear stories of friendships forged and lasting partnerships created.

Our Winter 2012/13 edition featured Neha Gohil (née Vahali) and Dr Amit Gohil who met at a Bhangra night party at the Pleasance in 2000. The couple are now married with two children and live in San Carlos, California.

Tell us your story

Due to its popularity we would like to include more of your stories and happy encounters in future editions.

  • Did you meet your lifelong partner at Edinburgh? Get in touch and let us know how. Blind date, sports club, early morning tutorial - we want to know.
  • Did you meet your soulmate at Edinburgh? Did you put the world to rights over a Teviot table late into the night?
  • Is your best friend the one you made as an Edinburgh fresher? Have your conversations evolved from discussions about a night at the Wee Red Bar, to mortgage comparisons and childcare dilemmas?
