Robots and review at General Council event

Taking place in the new Bayes Centre, Potterrow, before the meeting members will first have the chance to visit the Robotarium at the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics. Here, the University's researchers are the forefront of creating robotic soultions for the modern world, and devloping skilled graduates in the field.

At the Meeting, Professor Peter Mathieson, Principal of the University, will present his Annual Report.

Robots

The formal proceedings will be livestreamed on the General Council website, and the meeting will be followed by a reception and lunch in the Informatics Forum, across the quad from the Centre.

The after-lunch speaker will be Professor Sethu Vijayakumar, Professor of Robotics, who will present the issues around the development of autonomy in Artificial Intelligence.
