Beth Fellows

Chosen object: Ragna the troll

Beth Fellows is the Vice President of Activities and Services for Edinburgh University Students’ Association who graduated with a degree in Ancient History and Classical Archaeology in 2019.

During her studies, Beth was involved with EUTV and the Sports Union Media team as well as an Edinburgh University Korfball Club committee member. She still enjoys an active lifestyle including being part of a netball team and loves the fact that people can be brought together through sports clubs and societies.

In her role as VPAS, Beth is EUSA’s lead representative in relation to commercial services, space and facilities and organises campaigns for student development and opportunities, including a recent project that helped raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing.

Catherine Wilson

Chosen object: a photo of a poetry slam trophy

Catherine Wilson is a poet, writer and performer, currently based in Edinburgh. She has a degree in Philosophy and Literature from the University, and in 2018 was selected as one of YWCA’s 30 under 30 women in Scotland. 

Catherine currently works as a production runner for BBC Scotland and is the project manager for ‘Staged for Life’, an opportunity for young and unemployed people to engage with technical theatre training. Her work has been commissioned by StAnza Poetry Festival, BBC Radio 4, the British National Gallery, TEDx and the National Gallery.  

A poem written by Catherine about Scotland for a festival funded by the European Union National Institutes for Culture was translated into French and Dutch and displayed on public transport in Brussels.
