When he’s not studying, Elias enjoys playing the saxophone and making beats on his computer. Elias has composed music for films in conjunction with the USC School of Cinematic Arts and the University of York, including a short-length documentary titled Night Lives which won the LUMA20 Gala Audience Award for Non-Fiction in 2020. Alongside his studies, Elias is also passionate about student welfare. He is a member of the Edinburgh Student Housing Co-operative and has been involved with Pause or Pay UK, a student-led cross-university action group. When he’s not studying, Elias enjoys playing the saxophone and making beats on his computer. He has also been trying to learn some new skills and has recently bought an accordion. She studied History at the University, graduating in 2017 and is now studying for her masters in Cultural Studies at KU Leuven. Since starting a blog in 2015, Tomiwa has written for the Herald and the National, as well as presenting the Radio 4 documentary, The Art of Now: Black and Creative in Scotland and #OurPlanetMatters for the BBC.
