The Viking Genes project is working with island communities to advance the future of medicine. Since 2003 they have undertaken four genetics studies that use island health investigations to carry out life-saving research into common diseases.

Iskandar Sattibaev

Iskandar is an accomplished English teacher from Uzbekistan and founder of SpeakEng, a mobile app that helps people learn English in a fun and easy way. He is also a winner in the the British Council's Study UK Alumni awards.

Veronkia Pudilova

Veronika Pudilova (2021, Geographical Information Science), tells us about her time at Edinburgh, and Happy Autistic Lady – her start-up that delivers neurodiversity training, consultancy, and awareness campaigns to student spaces and businesses.
